October 2017 – Springs, GP, South Africa – Givit Game Studios (Pty) Ltd has announced its first commercial release game. THE ADVENTURES OF SAM CARLISLE: THE HUNT FOR THE LOST TREASURE.

The game will be launched on Steam on 1 November 2017.

 “My name is Sam. Sam Carlisle. I have a normal life. A life that I really enjoy. It is simple really. I go to work, come home and work on a secret project. A project that will make me millions. A lost treasure. A treasure too big for one man, one man alone. “

The Adventures of Sam Carlisle had a two years development cycle. It is a 2D adventure platformer game that takes the player on an adventure of a life time. With wonderful music composed by the talented Pieter Smal and the voice of Deon Coetzee. With 100 handcrafted levels, the world will test your skill and patients with a twist of emotion.

We had a great launch at the rAge gaming expo with some great feedback from all of the gamers at rAge. We still have some physical dvd units left of the game retailing at a R100 per unit. The Steam version (Windows, Mac, Linux) will also be available at the end of this month.

The game is currently available on as well and will be later released on Windows store, App store for Apple and Humble Bundle.

50% off the proceedings on Humble Bundle will go for Alzheimer’s charities.

The previous game that Givit Game Studios released was THE WITCH OF ERAST on mobile. THE ADVENTURES OF SAM CARLISLE will be our first commercial release.

The Creative Talents of the game

Deon Coetzee is the voice of Sam Carlisle. This is Deon’s first video game acting. Deon Coetzee is a South African actor best known for his starring role as Deon du Plessis in the M-Net soap opera Egoli: Place of Gold, appearing in the role from 1992-2001. He is also known for his soapy roles as Herman Croukamp in SABC2's 7de Laan and as Shane Rix in kykNET's Villa Rosa. Other television series he has acted in include Skooldae, Familiedae, Rooi Komplot, Agter Elke Man, City People, Klagstaat, Gilliam Woudberg, Adam, The RES and Fishy Feshuns. Feature films Deon has acted in include Boetie Gaan Border Toe, Sonskyn in SA, Oh Shucks I'm Gatvol, Swansong for Charlie, Bakgat!, Jail Caesar and Stilt.

Botha Enslin is born and bred in Pretoria where he matriculated at high school Silverton in 1998. he then finished his B-TECH in drama at the then Pretoria Technikon now TUT in 2003. he worked in the tv and theatre industry with over 1000 children shows and 20 tv ads to his name. later he started to become involved with soaps such as rhythm city and generations. also doing a few farces traveling across southern Africa performing at festivals. he did a few music videos such as the knife for zebra and giraffe.  he is currently writing, directing and started his own performing company  HAHA productions with fellow actress Anel du Plessis he just finished a motion picture Thuys and Trix scheduled for release April 13 2018. IN HIS FREE TIME HE MANAGES A BAR AND FARMS.

Pieter Smal is a 25-year-old, Master-degree student at the University of Pretoria. His aim is to both become a video game soundtrack composer and scholar. His B.Mus. mini-dissertation was entitled "Unifying Elements in the Tomb Raider Trilogy game soundtracks". Whilst his M. is in composition, his mini-dissertation continues research in game soundtrack, laying an academic foundation for this new field of study. Although he loves experimenting with various programs, he will only immerse himself with in game-soundtrack composition post-doctoral.
