  Developers for 2017 GTR Incubator Program Unveiled

SAN FRANCISCO – Nov. 7, 2017 – Global Top Round is proud to announce ten independent game studios have been selected receive investment as part of its 2017 Accelerator Program.

After careful deliberation and review of more than 100 applications from more than a dozen countries, GTR has selected ten teams to receive $40,000 in direct investment to aid with development. Teams that complete the program successfully will also be considered for an additional $50,000 in direct investment and a follow-up round of investments led by GTR.

Alongside financial support, GTR provides partners access to a network of renowned mentors from across the games industry, direct connections to global publishers, access to marketing data on current trends, support for investor relations, and additional assistance for fundraising.

GTR’s 2017 Accelerator Program features:

·         Rogue Snail (Relic Hunters – PC, Console)

·         Cat Nigiri (Keen – PC, Console, Mobile)

·         Cocodrilo Dog (Boom Fighters – PC, Console)

·         Hut 90 (Akuto: Mad World – PC, Console)

·         Meteorbyte Studios (Woodpunk – PC, Console)


·         Cubiverse (Cubinauts – Mobile)

·         Triple Topping Games (Spitkiss – Mobile)

·         The Pulse (Sky Kraken – PC, HTC Vive)

·         Dream Harvest (Failure: NeuroSlicers – PC)

·         Spree Entertainment (Fiend Legion – PC, Console)

Rogue Snail’s project Relic Hunters was named this year’s Game of the Year award winner, netting the development team an additional $10,000 grand prize as part of the 2017 GTR Conference. GTR’s annual conference was held in Melbourne, Australia, during Melbourne International Games Week with the support and sponsorship of Creative Victoria.

“We couldn’t be happier to welcome a new group of talented new development teams to the GTR Accelerator Program,” said Peter Van Dyke, director, GTR. “These studios all showed us something special and we cannot wait to enable to provide them with capital, marketing help, and a network of veteran designers to assist them in getting off the ground and finding success.”

Projects from the GTR 2017 Accelerator Program are targeted for release during 2018.
