CE-Asia is proud to announce the success of the Sonkwo π Online, a digital event that showcased hundreds of the most anticipated video games of the moment. Due to the impact of the Covid-19 epidemic, Sonkwo π was held online, following the likes of Gamescom, PAX,or the Tokyo Game Show.

Players from all around the globe were welcome to attend the Sonkwo π Online game exhibition, an event that celebrated its third edition. Games such as Far Cry 5 and Sniper: Ghost Warrior Contracts were showcased in the past before its release in the Chinese market. This year marked the first time that the event was held exclusively online.

Despite being an online event, the number of games shown were similar to past editions. Players were able to download demos through the Sonkwo platform, watch interviews, game demos an other content, and all of that while avoiding queues. Apart from those activities, the Sonkwo π Online also held contests. Participants were able to win high-end PCs, PS5’s and Xbox Series X.

Hundreds of developers and publishers were present at this year’s Sonkwo π Online event showing new games and offering demos to all the attendants. Rockstar, Ubisoft, or Paradox were some of the most important companies, showing titles such as Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla, Far Cry 6, Empire of Sin, Red Dead Redemption 2 or Resident Evil 8.

Players also took a look at demos for titles such as Partisans 1941, Gamedec, Eldest Souls or Floppy Knight. Other titles, such as Kenshi, or Cyber Manhunt, were playable for the very first time. All things considered, the Sonkwo π Online let players enjoy more than a hundred video games.

Her War, developed by the team responsible for Freeman: Guerrilla Warfare, released a new trailer in Sonkwo π Online, featuring never before seen content.

Players took a look at the strategic hack and slash game Viking Way of Life's trailer for the very first time. The video shows a charming Nordic style and the game’s unique content.

The 2D souls-like Eldest Souls will release a new demo, introducing the basic gameplay of this extremely challenging game. Not only are there exciting action battles, but you can also find different ways of playing according to your skills and abilities. Players who like difficult challenges will be amused by this game.

Sonkwo π Online showed the latest Chinese-dubbed demo of the real-time strategy game Partisans 1941, set in the USSR during World War II.

Cyberpunk-style narrative suspense game Gamedec also showed a new video at the exhibition, giving Chinese players the opportunity to get a deeper understanding of a title heavily influenced by Disco Elysium.

The Sonkwo π Online let players take a look at the latest demo of 9 Monkeys of Shaolin. This action game focused on kung-fu has been developed by a Russian studio though it has heavy Chinese influences. It’s arcade-style gameplay caught the attention of lots of players.

Jiang Xun, the producer of the recently released Cyber Manhunt, a game that features hacker social workers, was one of the guests of the Sonkwo π Online. In this video, he explains the story behind the production of this game.
