Hey everyone!

My name's Thomas, I was born '85 in Bochum, Germany and still live here. I did my BA in Design for Computer Games at the University of Bradford (England), and am currently trying to get into the games industry as a programmer.

I'm interested in PnPs (mainly Shadowrun), (game-)programming in general, and AIs and artificial personalities specifically.

I choose the surface shader ...

I choose the surface shader approach instead of a graph based approach like Unreal Engine because being a programmer, I feel more comfortable and faster writing code than dragging tree nodes using the GUI. r n r nLike a boss.

Interesting question though: It is completly ok to copy good gamedesign, use great ideas to spin off something own from it. After all, gamedesign is a form of art, and now think about music covers. But where does good use of great ideas stop and plain simple stupid plagiarism start ...
