Wii Sports Resort Debuts Atop UK Sales Charts

The MotionPlus-enabled Wii Sports Resort debuted at the top of the weekly UK all-platform sales charts, bumping down recent strong performers Harry Potter and Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10.

Chart-Track said that the launch of Wii Sports Resort marked the fourth-biggest week for a Wii title, behind Nintendo's Wii Fit, Mario Kart Wii, and Sega and Nintendo's Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games.

Chart-Track's all-platform charts include all versions of a given game, meaning the Wii-only game sold more than any multiplatform title during the week.

Now in its fourth week, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 saw sales drop just 3 percent from the prior week, while the latest Harry Potter game dropped from number one to number two week-on-week.
