Three former Rainbow Studios (MX Vs. ATV, Cars) have announced the formation of Scottsdale, AZ-based TimeFly Studios, a new independent game developer dedicated to creating both licensed games as well as original action/adventure, rhythm and puzzle games.

The three ex-Rainbow founders Brad Ruminer, Dennis Booth, and Glenn O'Bannon have collectively worked on a number of properties including the above, as well as Motocross Madness, ATV Offroad Fury, and Splashdown.

The studio founders, who currently are licensed for development by Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo, also say TimeFly will focus on "addressing the issue of quality of life for its employees," with VP O'Bannon promising "industry-standard pay and benefits plus some perks right now that very few small companies can provide."

Said president Booth, "Our games will focus on gameplay first, to be supported and enhanced by spectacular visuals and audio," adding, "Design-oriented development with proper project management will allow us to develop games on-time and on-budget, while minimizing the long term 'crunch' periods traditionally associated with game development."
