Planetwide Games Plans Extreme Sports MMO

Planetwide Games, the publisher of the just-released RYL: Path Of The Emperor PC MMO, has announced, via promotional material received with RYL, an additional and distinctly alternate-themed massively multiplayer game.

The title is named Bluetorch Mox, with the second word of the game's moniker meaning 'massively online Xperience', and uses the Bluetorch extreme sports brand as an entry point to a PC online world which, according to the promo information, will include surfing, skateboarding, snowboarding, BMC, and motocross elements.

Other elements for the title include the ability for heavy character customization, including virtual body piercing, tattoos, clothes, and 'bizarre hairstyles', as well as the opportunity for players to create a retail store in-game and sell their own designs to make real-world money. In addition, there's promise of online competitions with 'millions of real-world dollars' in prizes.

Planetwide has not yet confirmed further details for the title, with the ESRB rating pending on the game and only 'Coming 2006' as a current release date.
