After the falling-out of developer Perception and European publisher JoWooD, Perception has gone on the offensive by attempting to have JoWooD declared bankrupt in court. However, the publisher has successful defeated Perception's attempt, by ruling of a Vienna court.

An official statement on JoWooD's site says that "Perception itself has admitted that the delay of the game delivery was also caused by the failure of Perception although JoWooD has already paid the undisputable amount of EUR 5.5 [million]." JoWooD will continue to restructure the company following its recent quarterly losses.

The actual fate of Stargate SG-1, the game under dispute between Perception and JoWooD, is still up in the air. Both sides claim ownership of the rights from TV series creator MGM, and both have announced intentions to continue development of the game for future release, possibly on a different platform.
