According to Japanese reports from Dengeki Online and site RPGFan, officials from Japanese developer Nihon Falcom and publisher/developer Marvelous Entertainment have agreed the details of a business deal that will see Falcom utilizing Marvelous' publishing arm for future anime and video game releases.
Although Marvelous Interactive is arguably more well-known well-known in the West, primarily for publishing and developing the Harvest Moon series, Nihon Falcom's classic RPGs are particularly important in the West, including intellectual properties such as the Ys and the Eiyuu Densetsu (aka Legend of Heroes) series.
Marvelous Interactive’s existing anime studios will be used to produce movies based on all the newly merged company’s properties, as well as publishing soundtracks and other merchandising spin-offs. The company’s existing connections with Western publishers (including the Rising Star Games co-published label) will also be employed to bring Nihon Falcom titles to North America and Europe.
