UK 'Apply Serious Games 2006' Event Announced
Advertisement
The Apply Serious Games conference, a UK event concentrating on applications of serious games in education and training (and unrelated to the CMP Game Group's serious games-related events), has announced its initial roster of speakers and presentations for the 2006 conference, which will be held on May 25 at the Society of Chemical Industry in central London.

The latest additions to the list are Ernest Adams, who will run a design workshop during the event, and opening keynote speaker Steve Molyneux, director of the LearningLab and ADL Partnership Lab in the UK. The topic of Molyneux's speech has not yet been disclosed, but the speaker has extensive credentials in the field of games-based education, including a stint as the Microsoft Chair of Advanced Learning Technologies.

The rest of the conference will examine issues related to serious games, such as experiential and informal learning, sustainable communities, effective teams and leadership, and work-flow performance support.

Registration information, as well as a call for papers is available at the official Apply Serious Games conference website.
