Newsbrief: The Kickstarter campaign for the Wasteland revival sequel has reached its $900,000 goal after less than two days, with over 16,000 backers in total.

InXile CEO and Interplay founder Brian Fargo launched the Kickstarter on March 13, in a bid to fund a sequel to the 1988 RPG Wasteland. The campaign had already surpassed $60,000 after an hour, and has now stormed past its $900,000 overall goal in under 48 hours.

Fargo said of the achievement, "I haven't been more excited to make a game in over a decade. It is a dream to focus all my attention on making a wonderful experience without distraction from outside forces."
