Yodo1 raises $2M to help Western devs bring their games to China
Newsbrief: Beijing-based Yodo1 looks to help Western developers enter China's burgeoning mobile games market, and it's raised $2 million in funding for that goal with its publishing platform.
The company works with developers throughout the market entry process for their games by offering services for localization, cultural adaptation, integration with local monetization/payment options, IP protection to take down pirated/copy cat titles, and more.
Yodo1 has already helped more than 60 Western companies (e.g. Digital Chocolate) bring their titles to China since opening last year, and it's just announced a new partnership with Robot Entertainment to bring its iOS strategy game Hero Academy to the country.
