Newsbrief: DigitalDNA Games' CastleMiner Z, a Minecraft-style title with first-person shooter elements, has become the first Xbox Live Indie Games title to sell more than 1 million units.

A few sandbox games have found tremendous success on Xbox 360's download platforms -- since releasing on Xbox Live Arcade in May, Minecraft's official console edition has sold over 3 million copies.

And on Xbox Live Indie Games, though it competes with CastleMiner Z and its popular predecessor CastleMiner, Projector Games's FortressCraft has generated more than $1 million in sales.

Priced at 80 MS Points ($1), CastleMiner Z released around 10 months ago. DigitalDNA Games is currently considering an expanded version of the title for PC.
