Newsbrief: After heading Atlus USA for seven years, Shinichi Suzuki has jumped over to another niche game publisher in the U.S., Xseed, to serve as its CEO, president, and CFO.

During his tenure at Atlus' North American branch, Suzuki helped bring over cult Japanese games like Persona, Demon's Souls, and Catherine. He'll now run the California-based publisher that's localized imports like The Last Story, Retro Game Challenge, and recent releases from the Ys series.

Suzuki will replace Jun Iwasaki, who left Xseed earlier this year to head another U.S. publisher for Japanese games, the newly opened GungHo Online Entertainment America. Along with appointing a new CEO, Xseed has promoted publishing director Ken Berry to executive vice president.
