Newsbrief: Despite a drop in sales of 72 percent week-over-week, Electronic Arts' FIFA 13 still managed to hold back new release Resident Evil 6 and keep the top spot in the UK charts last week.

It's hardly surprising, given that FIFA 13 is currently the fastest-selling game of 2012, having shifted 4.5 million copies in just five days. Resident Evil, in comparison, is now the fourth biggest release of 2012 in the UK.

According to Chart-Track, the only other new release last week was NBA 2K13, entering the charts at number six, while Gearbox's Borderlands 2 dropped down a place to number three, with a 56 percent drop in sales.
