Although the Samsung Galaxy S 4 mobile device reveal this week didn't contain many notable video game surprises, there was one -- a first-party Bluetooth gamepad for Android devices.

As reported by Engadget, Samsung plans to release the Android game controller this summer, complete with dual analog sticks, a d-pad, and shoulder buttons that fit behind the slotted device.

Various Samsung Android devices can potentially fit into the slot provided, including the Galaxy S range and the Galaxy Note range. No price has been divulged as of yet, and what you see here is only a prototype

Samsung is no doubt looking to compete with the various Android gamepads that are due to launch over the coming year, including the Green Throttle controller, which already began shipping earlier this month.

Well, it's only a prototype, to be fair.
