Newsbrief: The mobile game market continues to be a rich source of revenue for the rare game that can build a large playerbase and convince them to spend money. The latest example is Knights & Dragons, which -- according to publisher Gree -- raked in roughly $5 million in revenue over 30 days of sale across iOS and Android.

That's not exactly Puzzle & Dragons money -- GungHo's earnings reports claim that game brings in roughly $5 million per day -- but it's nothing to sneeze at. The recently-released Knights & Dragons also earned the "I Can't Quit You" award during Google's inaugural Player's Choice Awards.

It's worth noting that Knights & Dragons is the product of a publishing partnership between Gree's San Francisco office and the Vancouver-based IUGO Mobile Entertainment, Inc., which Gree invested in back in 2012 as part of a larger strategic expansion into Western markets. Given the success of Knights & Dragons, that gambit seems to be paying off handsomely.
