Newsbrief: BioWare is working with indie studio Failbetter Games on an unannounced project, with the smaller London-based company helping the Mass Effect behemoth out with something story-driven.

Failbetter Games, best known for narrative-heavy games like Fallen London and Sunless Sea, announced the partnership today, saying that is has "been working in absolute secrecy on a project" for BioWare.

The company has worked with BioWare in a smaller capacity before, providing consulation on narrative projects, and visiting BioWare Edmonton to give a session on Failbetter's approach to interactive narrative.

More on the secret project is due to be announced soon.

It's good to see BioWare continuing to push innovation in storytelling, despite Greg and Ray moving on.
