Newsbrief: The EMP Museum, Seattle's nonprofit bastion of pop culture, will play host to an indie game exhibition later this year.

The museum's Indie Game Revolution exhibit opens on November 8th and is expected to feature a regularly-changing array of game demo stations, multimedia installations and other tools of the museum trade that are meant to tell the stories of contemporary indie games and indie creators from around the world.

Galak-Z, Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime, Quadrilateral Cowboy and Papers, Please are among the starting lineup of featured titles. Every two months, another 12 games will be swapped into the exhibit.

The museum is focusing on the present and future state of indie game development, but it's also worth studying its past -- QWOP creator Bennett Foddy gave a great talk on the history of independent game development at IndieCade East earlier this year.
