Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Dominates UK Sales Charts

DICE's Battlefield: Bad Company 2 plastered its name all over the latest United Kingdom sales charts, debuting at number one in both the all-platform and individual platform charts.

All three versions of the modern-era shooter -- Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC -- topped their respective platform-specific sales charts, and they all made it into the top five slots on the combined individual platform chart. The game was the only new addition to the all-platform chart.

Last week's top seller, Quantic Dream's interactive drama Heavy Rain, dropped down to number four on the all-platform chart, as Ubisoft Paris' Just Dance moved back up to number two, and Aliens Vs. Predator dropped down to number three.

The rest of the chart consisted of games already present last week, although Sumo Digital's Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing -- which shipped on four separate platforms -- had an impressive jump from number eight to number five.

2K Marin and 2K Australia's BioShock 2 dropped off the chart this week, losing its number nine position.
