Allen Adham, one of Blizzard’s three original co-founders, has returned to the company after more than a decade away from game development. He rejoins Blizzard in the role of senior vice president after leaving the company 12 years ago to pursue a career in finance.

Adham co-founded Blizzard in 1991 with Frank Pearce and Michael Morhaime. Before his departure in 2004, he was lead designer on World of Warcraft and helped create a host of other early Blizzard properties like Warcraft, Warcraft 2, and StarCraft.

"I’m free to say it now. In hindsight, leaving Blizzard was probably the biggest mistake I made in my life,” Adham said in a recent interview with Polygon. “What I should have done was just take a sabbatical. I’ve been eager to come back for a decade now.”

In his new role as senior vice president, Adham is responsible for exploring new ideas and overseeing the creation of new projects at Blizzard.
