Newsbrief: The Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences (AIAS) has named Bethesda creative director Todd Howard as its 22nd Hall of Fame recipient
Howard, who's been integral to the development and success of franchises like The Elder Scrolls and Fallout, will be officially presented with the award at the 20th D.I.C.E. Awards on February 23, 2017.
"I know that many of us in the industry have spent countless hours enthralled in the vast, open worlds that Todd has created," said AIAS president, Mike Fischer. "He's made us all reconsider the player-game relationship and extended the storytelling possibilities of our medium."
Previous winners include Metal Gear Solid creator Hideo Kojima, Blizzard co-founder Mike Morhaime, Valve president Gabe Newell, and Civilization creator Sid Meier.
