Nearly two decades ago, veteran game designer Peter Molyneux took the stage at the 2000 Game Developers Conference to deliver a keynote address about, appropriately enough, the development of a notable game: Lionhead Studios' Black & White.
Looking back at it now provides some interesting insight into how games were made and talked about at the turn of the millennium, as well as some perspective on how the game industry has grown since then.
Plus, Molyneux shared some early images of concepts and prototypes for the game that became Black & White, a key piece of the (now defunct) Lionhead Studios legacy. A year later, he would go on to pen a full postmortem of the game that you can still read today.
