[In this weekly column, Gamasutra rounds up the most popular paid and free gaming applications on the Android Market as of today, with Cut the Rope, Death Worm and Angry Birds currently ranking among the platform's top downloads.]

This week's top paid titles are:

1. Cut the Rope ($1.01)
2. Death Worm ($2.99)
3. The Moron Test ($0.99)
4. UNO ($2.99)
5. Fruit Ninja ($1.25)
6. RoboDefense ($2.99)
7. Doodle Jump ($0.99)
8. Pocket God ($0.99)

ZeptoLab's Cut the Rope is this week's fastest-selling Android game, outpacing Playcreek's price-dropped Death Worm and DistinctDev's The Moron Test.

Gameloft's adaptation of the card game UNO lands at fourth place, meanwhile, as Halfbrick's Fruit Ninja beats Lupis Labs' RoboDefense for fifth place.

Rovio's ever-popular Angry Birds heads the Android Market's free charts, as Newtoy's Words With Friends Free overtakes Angry Birds Rio for second place.

Playcreek's Death Worm Free claims fourth, leading to a boost in popularity for the paid edition, as the Tiny Wings clone Dragon, Fly! ranks in at fifth place in today's results.
