Seoul, December 12,
2012 WEBZEN’s Multiplayer Online FPS Arctic

"During the open beta, the EU servers have been packed full with
players playing from across Europe. We want to thank our community
for their great support and as such, we have decided to expand the
game channels to accommodate more players", says Jihun Lee, Head of
Global Publishing at WEBZEN. “We are excited to officially
launch Arctic Combat and look forward to providing more enjoyable
content for the players.”
With the release, Arctic Combat will bring a brand new map for
players. This map, known as “

played on alternative maps. WEBZEN will also add new customization
parts to weapons and a country ranking system. Furthermore, WEBZEN
plans to celebrate the official launch with a couple of in-game
events such as an ongoing experience and game point boost
event.
After the success of the first Arctic Combat World Championship
at G-Star, Korea, the road to the second World Championship will
begin soon with "The Veterans League - Country Tournament". Signups
for the tournament will start from December until January 2013.

Set amidst the chaos of World War III,
Arctic Combat is a multiplayer online first-person shooter
(MOFPS) featuring a realistic gameplay experience and a tactical
skill development system. The game revolves around the story of a
national conflict between two groups; the Allied Forces (AF) - led
by the United States, and the Red Star Alliance (RSA) - led by
Russia. What begins as a dispute over natural resources in the
arctic leads to a violent clash between the AF and RSA, dividing
the world into two opposing forces and marking the beginning of
World War III.
