NEW YORK – January 23, 2013 – Paradox
Interactive and Paradox Development Studio have announced that
bestselling Strategy RPG
Crusader Kings II is now available for Linux. The
critically acclaimed title is the first ever game from Paradox to
be launched on the burgeoning platform, and plans to bring other
titles to Linux in the future are in the works.
Crusader Kings II for Linux is currently available on
Steam.
Heralded as one of the best strategy games of 2012,
Crusader Kings II explores one of the defining eras in
world history, in an experience crafted by the masters of Grand
Strategy. Medieval Europe is brought to life in this epic title,
rife with rich strategy and tactical depth, where ambitious kings
will be charged with bringing their dynasties to greatness.
Intrigue, backstabbing, and maintaining relationships—both
intimate and political—are just as important as the ability
to lead troops into battle as you quest for glory and power. Stand
ready, increase your prestige, and listen to the world whisper your
name in awe; do you have what it takes to become a Crusader
King?
To introduce new players to
Crusader Kings II—whether they’re on PC, Mac,
or Linux—Paradox Interactive will live stream an introductory
multiplayer session with Project Lead Henrik Fårahues tonight
at 7 p.m. GMT (11 a.m. PST). To view the broadcast, visit the
official Paradox Interactive channel on Twitch TV at
www.twitch.tv/paradoxinteractive.
