Binary Pumpkin are helping forgetful Valentines this February by releasing a Valentine's themed version of their highly rated game Pumpkin Bingo. Valentines Bingo builds upon the addictive gameplay of Pumpkin Bingo and ties it all up within a romantic package.

It's 'mother' project Pumpkin Bingo has now received just under 50,000 downloads on the Google Play store and Apple App Store and has received nearly 2,000 ratings in total, averaging 4.4 out of 5.

Co-Founder of Binary Pumpkin and ultimate romantic programmer on Valentine Bingo Bruce McNeish reflects, “Pumpkin Bingo players are 85% female according to our data, so we thought we would provide a get-out clause for all those who forget Valentine's day and suffer the consequences. We are offering Valentines Bingo as a free alternative to service station flowers and cheap cards and with an Infinite Plays in app purchase, it is definitely the gift that keeps giving!”

Lol Scragg, the other similarly romantic co-founder of the company adds without any hint of shame;

Binary Pumpkin are a fresh start-up based in Dundee. Founded in 2011 by Bruce McNeish and Lol Scragg who between them have over 30 years games industry experience, the company is now developing it’s own products as well as offering it expertise to others. The company currently has a staff of 10.

It’s first project, Pumpkin Bingo is currently available on Android and iOS with other platforms due early 2013, and further projects to follow.

Prior to Binary Pumpkin, Bruce and Lol were co-founders of Cohort Studios who developed console titles primarily for Sony Europe. The company employed over 50 people at it’s height and for a short time was the largest independent games developer in Scotland. After Cohort reduced headcount in 2011, Bruce and Lol exited the company and took positions building a games team for the Dundee company Waracle, where they created and managed a small team of recent graduates to deliver three social projects in under one year.
