SAN FRANCISCO, California, November 13, 2013 - The team behind
the GaymerX convention announced the formation of MidBoss Games
today with the launch of a Kickstarter campaign to fund Read Only
Memories, a new cyberpunk adventure game that features queer
characters in prominent roles.
Read Only Memories is a single-player adventure game that
explores Neo-San Francisco in 2064. Players will explore Neo-SF to
uncover its mysteries and dive deep into the dark heart of the

characters to interact with, partner with, or fight against. The
game design is mainly inspired by cyberpunk themes of the
80’s, and adventure games of the 90’s such as Sam &
Max, Maniac Mansion, Snatcher, and The Secret of Monkey Island.

Read Only Memories has set a Kickstarter funding goal of $62,064
to complete its development and testing for the Mac, PC, iOS,
Android and Ouya systems. The value of each pledge will be doubled
through matching funds provided by Ouya’s Free The Games
Fund, up to the first $62,064. Additional stretch goals will enable
the expansion of the game to more platforms, including Linux,
Steam, PS4, Xbox One, PS Vita and WiiU, and include digital
downloads of the soundtrack and art book. The fundraising campaign
will run through December 12, 2013.
