Tampere, Finland -- December 18th, 2013 -- Apex Games Ltd is a Finnish game development studio, who have been hard at work with their first title, Demon Core. The game is a single-player, story driven first person survival action game, a refreshing change of pace among the multiplayer dominated genre. The development process is still going on but the team is ready to make the final push to finish and polish the game to uphold all new standards among indie games.

Demon Core is situated in a Russian research laboratory, working on solutions for potent sources of energy. The female protagonist of the game, a scientist working in the said laboratory, is faced with a dire situation and is forced to use all possible means she has to survive the overwhelming attack set upon the lab. The innovative gameplay elements allow the player to blend in among the other victims, even feign death over other who have already fallen in the battle. Players will be given tools to set up traps, sneak around enemies and start working on them from the top of the chain; the enemy squads follow a chain of command, which allow the player to target a commanding officer or a radio operator, sending the squad into disarray and cutting off any calls for back-up.

Various types of soldiers with different equipment, experience in battle and even different personalities make sure to keep the gameplay versatile, with elite soldiers raining led down on the player in all circumstances and the more feeble grunts breaking off in a panic at the sight of fellow soldiers falling in battle. Using this type of artificial intelligence is meant to give the player an immersive experience, where they can perceive the actual chain of commands and plan their actions accordingly.

But AI isn’t the only thing that Apex Games Ltd has been working on. The team has set themselves a goal of creating stunning visuals and environments with an unique design. The game supports TrackIR and Microsoft Kinect, which links the actual movement of the player in three-dimensional space to the in-game view. Plans have been made for extensive implementation of the game for Oculus Rift as well.

Demon Core is estimated to be released in Q4 2014. for PC and Mac. For further information please see Apex Games Ltd is also launching an Indiegogo campaign to make sure they can make the game as good as they possibly can! More information on this to follow shortly.

Apex Games Ltd is a team of half a dozen talented individuals situated in Tampere, Finland, driven by a common goal; to deliver high quality in a game and having fun in the process.
