London; 7th March 2014 – Barnstorm Games today announced the launch of iOS and Android Apps based on RDF Television’s hit ITV show Tipping Point. Barnstorm, publishers of the smash hit App based on ITV’s The Chase, were commissioned to create the App by RDF TV and ITV, and hope to follow the success of their previous ITV collaboration with a game that is true to the characteristics of the popular show.  Quiz and amusement enthusiasts, as well as fans of the show, can now take on The Machine on iPhone®, iPod® touch, iPad® , iPad mini™, Android™ Phones and Tablets in the official App of the popular RDF TV game show, Tipping Point.  Available on Google Play, App Store and Amazon Appstore, priced at £1.49.

“We’re delighted to be able to bring the fun and tension of Tipping Point to the palm of the consumer’s hand.  We have worked closely with RDF Television and ITV to produce a game that encapsulates the spirit of this unique game show, which nicely blends quiz and amusement action.” stated Simon Jeffrey, CEO of Barnstorm Games.

Last year Tipping Point, hosted by Ben Shephard, was commissioned for a 4 th series (70x60) currently airing weekdays on ITV. Like the show, the app will give players the chance to test their general knowledge, compete against each other, and push counters over the Tipping Point for a winning game.

Jim Allen, MD for RDF Television said, "Everyone thinks they can take on the Tipping Point machine and tame it. Now's their chance to prove it. One final word of warning - it won't be easy, so good luck, stay calm and enjoy."

Notes to Editors

About the app:

Players commence the first round with three coins and must answer questions to earn the right to play or nominate a turn on The Machine.  With a mixture of skill, luck and judgment players need to accumulate coins across the next two rounds (Against The Clock and Head To Head) before dropping them into a choice of four drop zones, with the hope of pushing piles of coins off onto the lower red zone (The Win Zone).  The more they collect, the greater the eventual prize fund.

It’s important to keep your wits as the lowest scoring player will drop out after each of the three rounds, before finally the remaining player takes part in the Jackpot Push.  Winning a place in the final earns the player the right to drop the large starred Jackpot Counter and select their difficultly of question; the more coins they accumulate, the more they will improve their chance of pushing the Jackpot Counter into the win zone and claiming the big virtual £10,000 prize.

Features:

• Play with up to 4 players (on one device)

• Features all the rounds from the show:

-       On The Buzzer

-       Against The Clock

-       Head To Head

-       Jackpot Push

• An exclusive new Quick Play Mode

• Extremely realistic 3D physics simulation

• Mystery and Jackpot counters

• Optional computer controlled opponents

• Over 1,000 UK friendly questions??

Have you got what it takes to beat The Machine?
