Cimmerian Space Customisable Ship Kickstarter Press Release

Cimmerian Space thrusts you in to the hot seat as you explore a 3D universe using just your web browser.

Starting off piloting a small spaceship, you'll get the opportunity to trade, dogfight and bounty hunt your way to success. Our universe is set on the edge of known space where dark forces have been woken from their slumber. Travel from planet to planet following our mission threads to meet exotic space vixens, bounty hunters and aliens that maybe able to help you uncover the truth behind the mysterious Cimmerians. The game runs in all major browsers including on Android and soon on iOS8.

F3D is preparing for the beta test of Cimmerian and has now launched a Lickstarter to fund the medium sized vessel expansion which will add a whole new dimension to the current fighter based game play. The expansion adds Turrets, Large Hard Points, and the facility to customise the appearance of your ship.

Hulls come in variety of sizes and roles with Corvettes, Gun Boats, Frigates, Destroyers, Aegis Defenders and  Cruisers. Add parts from a Fleet Kit that conforms with the design style of one of the games Factions, containing dozens of parts that you can position on your Hull. The Terran Faction will be released first with austere military colour schemes, followed by the Zen Dazi a sophisticated alien race with flowing lines and ergonomic design, the Rebels with a more gritty functional form, the mysterious Shrouded Triumvirate with vessels optimised for stealth. The faction Fleet Kits are to be released as Stretch Goals during the kickstarter.

Once you have designed your perfect ship you have the option to export it to Shapeways to be printed in 3D, most exciting of all F3D are pioneering a full colour print option so your ship can be printed with textures included.

The Cimmerian Space beta test will launch shortly after the Kickstarter, allowing players to get to grips with fighter based combat, then the expansion and Fleet Kits will be launched in 6 months time.
