Further, the chibi heroes and monsters have been given complete rules for playing them in Ninja Division’s Super Dungeon Explore.

“The legacy of the original Siege of the Citadel is held with some reverence by me and my team,” says John Cadice, owner and creative director at Ninja Division. “We all loved digging through the plastic miniatures and battling our way through Necromutants with our DoomTroopers. Ninja Division is excited to be working with Cabinet and Modiphius to throw our special spin on those classic designs and draw attention to this awesome new edition.”

Additional bonuses already unlocked in the Mutant Chronicles: Siege of the Citadel Kickstarter campaign include the Brotherhood Expansion, DoomTrooper Cards, Dark Legion Force Cards, 3-part Mini Campaign by Kevin Wilson, Dark Legion Event Cards, Secondary Mission Cards, Equipment Cards, Double Stairwell Tile Set, Plastic Insert Stairwell and Tile, 3-part Mini Campaign by Eric Lang, Double Throneroom Tile Set, Mission Guide and Citadel Walls. As an added bonus, all backers at the $149 “Dark Legion” pledge level will receive all previewed Goal items, even if a particular item’s fundraising goal isn’t met.

“Teams Cabinet and Modiphius are big fans of Ninja Division’s great products and games and we knew right away their chibis would make an amazing squad for Mutant Chronicles: Siege of the Citadel,” says Fred Malmberg, president and CEO of Cabinet Entertainment. “We hope this is a first of many collaborations to come.”

Mutant Chronicles: Siege of the Citadel by designers Richard Borg with Eric M. Lang and Kevin Wilson, is an innovative 2 nd edition of the original worldwide hit board game Siege of the Citadel, originally designed by Richard Borg and published by Target Games and Pressman Toys in the 1990s. This new edition reboots the classic with an A-List design team, balanced and updated rules, 40 new sculpted minis, new double-sided tiles and new creatures.

The original Siege of the Citadel was one of the first games of its kind to offer character development and the unique rotating Dark Legion player, among other groundbreaking ideas.
