February 2010
Keywords International Limited (Keywords International), global
provider of outsourced video game localization and testing
services, is proud to announce the opening of their new operations
center for East Asian languages in Tokyo, Japan. Offices are
located in Tokyo’s well-known Yoyogi area, providing easy
access to clients within the metropolitan area and commercial
hotspots such as Shinjuku and Shibuya.
The expansion into Japan is fueled by growing relations with
clients in the country and the rise in demand for high quality
localization services. Keywords International has enjoyed strong
relationships over the years with major video game studios and
publishers in the region, and the production center in Tokyo will
allow for greater support of both East Asian and Western publishers
and developers.
Leading the move into Japan is Christopher M. Kennedy, Business
Development Manager, Asia. He is a long-term resident of Japan, and
brings years of experience in video game localization from his
previous position at Square Enix Inc., Ltd., a leading worldwide
publisher and developer. A keen gamer himself, his professional
involvement in multiple steps of the video game development process
in the East Asian region provides him with a thorough understanding
of the unique requirements of the region.
Keywords International, headquartered in Dublin, Ireland, has
been providing translation, audio, testing and certification
support for all platforms and genres to major video game publishers
and developers worldwide for over ten years.
