I graduated from RMIT University (Australia) majoring in programming and game design and have been working as an Engineer in the industry since 2012. I have worked on a wide range of mobile tiles, including KIXEYE’s VEGA Conflict, Gameloft’s Ice Age Village, EA’s Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes, The Simpsons: Tapped Out and Hipster Whale's Crossy Road.
I am a 30 under 30 regular listed in both Develop Magazine’s and Forbes 30 Under 30 list for games (2014 and 2015 respectively).I was also nominated for the GDC Women in Games Rising Star in 2013 and 2014 and listed as one of MCV Pacific’s Women in games for 2018.
I am a strong believer in the concept of games as art and feel that we can have fun, meaningful and artistic games. My focus and passion is largely on Narrative and story and its role in developing meaningful game play. My other passions lie in the realms of dynamic data driven systems, reusable, extensible code, tools development and teaching artists/designers to code.

I have heard so many claims this past week about women's involvement in games, gaming community and game development. So I thought it might be a good time to share a story of a nerdy country girl and her love of games.
Having recently completed my own new graduate job hunt I wanted to share some of my observations about the things you HAVE to know to get a job as a programmer inside or outside of the game industry and other things that helped smooth the process for me.
