Edgar Onukwugha's Blog

Hello, everyone:

Not sure what to say here, so I might as well introduce myself:

My name is Edgar Onukwugha.  I wouldn't call myself a game programmer, per se (let alone a game developer).  The title which more accurately describes me is, "College Student Who Wants to be a Game Programmer but Has Only worked in Unity and has no C++ experience in Regards to Games."

That a mouthful, so "Game Programmer" will do for now.

Honestly, I can't say there's much interesting about me.  Some art of mine was featured in a Unity tutorial series, and I've made some (relatively) bad game jam "prototype" entries.  Not much aside from that.

As you can probably tell, though, I'm still a beginner in game development.  I hope to use this community to learn more about how to improve my craft and one day present a great game to the masses.  This isn't my first time to this site, however; this is justmy first of (hopefully) many other posts to showcase my work.

Until something major comes up, I'll see you all later.

I feel like most people ...

I feel like most people from debunk Kickstarters are going to Steam Early Access for a second chance at making their games. I recall one game going back into Early Access after a backlash against it, despite already being released. If something like that is able to occur, why settle ...

I 've recently been hearing ...

I 've recently been hearing about people using this 'Single scene, multiple levels ' technique for loading all of their levels in one scene. The technique primarily uses either 'DontDestroyOnLoad ' for use with faux-singletons or 'LoadLevelAdditive ' for loading another scene that branches onto a previously loaded level. However, ...

I agree with this reply ...

I agree with this reply wholeheartedly. Ever since I 've started to make games in my spare time, I can 't play a game just for fun anymore. I 've even caught myself looking at the un-smoothed triangles making up sand dunes in a desert in Fable 3. This constant ...

Wonderful video. For a beginning ...

Wonderful video. For a beginning game developer like me, to have a person, I need something like this as a way to understand how to judge what is good in a game and thus what I should use to implement in my own games. I 'm still having issues with ...

I 've tended to feel ...

I 've tended to feel similarly in regards to how corporate America has warped others ' perceptions of worth. I feel it has become a terrible yet profitable aspect of American culture. You experience it wherever you go in this and if I may argue similar countries. Just look at ...
