Video Interview: Building a community the Speedrunners way
by Mike Rose on 10/30/13 08:20:00 am   Editor Blog   Featured Blogs

The following blog post, unless otherwise noted, was written by a member of Gamasutra’s community.
The thoughts and opinions expressed are those of the writer and not Gamasutra or its parent company.

In this week's Gamasutra video interview, editor Mike Rose talks to Casper van Est of DoubleDutch Games and Tom Brien of TinyBuild Games about Speedrunners, a game that can essentially be described as a 2D platforming version of Micro Machines.

Since the game is online multiplayer only, the team is looking to break "The Curse of the Indie Multiplayer Game" through numerous different community-based avenues. The devs talk at length about their plans.
